Welcome to the community of Hoover, where life is peaceful, proud and prosperous. Incorporated in 1967, the City of Hoover was named after William H. Hoover and the area has been widely a residential community since the 1930’s. Even so, there are very many things to do in Hoover AL.  There is the Riverchase Galleria, one of the largest shopping centers in the Southeast.  Along with the beautiful rolling hills and landscape, the Riverchase Galleria has drawn new residents and businesses to the city. Recently, the city has grown by leaps and bounds by population and by size.  Hoover has annexed many areas into the city.  This gives the city the area, people and resouces to provide residents the necessary public services that many people need like having a Municipal Center, a Library, and a Public Safety Center.  While at the Riverchase Galleria window shop through the stores and visit the food court.   Afterwards, there are many parks to stroll through while in Hoover.  Take for instance Aldridge Gardens.  It’s a beautiful park with space to relax there.  There are also Veterans (Spain) Park, Star Lake Park, Regions Park (formerly Hoover Metropolitan Stadium), and the Ross Bridge Golf Resort and Spa. The Moss Rock Preserve is a special place where you will find the rare balance of humans and nature.  Go hiking through the trails and you may see a handful of rare species of plants and animals!
